A Wok Luck is a pot luck where everyone brings/makes a Chinese dish. The WokLucks were one of the regular Mesa group dinners. While most of the group sits around the table and drinks, two people cook the next dish. We just repeat that until late in the evening. With 16 to 20 people there are a lot of dishes!

Just like the lobster dinners were in November at my house, the Wok Lucks were in February at Dick Sweet's house. We probably started around 1980. We still have them, although lately it's two or three years in between.

We tried to establish some other standard parties with other cuisines including Mexican, Indian and Italian, but Chinese worked out the best.
